❌ Funnels are sleazy

Sure, there are sleazy funnels out there, but that’s not the funnels fault. The emails within the funnel will always reflect the intentions of their author. So if you’re not a sleazy salesperson IRL, you don’t have to worry about coming across that way in your emails. 

When it comes down to it, sales funnels are simply an automated way of welcoming people into your world, getting to know each other, and then offering them the right solution. 

There are sleazy ways to do that and there are sensitive, empathetic ways to do that.

It all comes down to how well you’re able to meet your people where they are and make them an offer that’s the answer to their prayers. (And I’m gonna show you how to do that below.)


❌ Funnels are complicated

This false belief makes me mad because it reminds me of how bankers have made the financial industry seem incomprehensible to the rest of us in the interest of keeping 99% of the world’s wealth to themselves. 


In fact, the most effective funnels are simple. 


If you can run an online business, you can string together the pieces of a funnel. 


You probably have most of the pieces you need already. To get your funnel online, you’ll just need to get clear on what message you need each piece to communicate and then connect the right pieces so that it all flows—without you getting your hands dirty. 

❌ Funnels are set-it-and-forget-it (which you know can’t be true, so you dismiss the whole idea)

We’ve all rolled our eyes at the “white guy leaning against his Lambo” ads enough times for them to be stuck in the back of our head. So maybe you saw the “make $1 Million overnight” message one too many times, and (rightfully) dismissed it, and the whole idea of building your funnel out with it. 

The truth is: You probably won’t get it right the first time. 

Your funnel will require some tweaking.

  • I’ve tried building a sales funnel before but it didn’t work out—how do I know this is different?

    The last time you tried to do this, did you have a step-by-step process to follow? One that uses the dreams and desires of your ideal clients to virtually guarantee your copy will connect?
